Skifer Hotel

The Skifer Hotel is located in the centre of Oppdal, in a part of the country with a tradition of schist quarring. With only limited space for decoration outside the hotel, the hotel itself has been made into the decorative element. I

n Oppdal, where visitors can ­experience summer and ­winter at the same time, the Skifer Hotel with its quartzite facade, stands as a robust centre point. Its exterior walls are clad in Oppdal bricks natural edge, installed as dry stone walling, divided into fields by large glass surfaces. The flooring in the reception area and the stairs is clad with antique brushed tiles of Oppdal quartzite.

Material deliverance:

1000 m² light Oppdal bricks natural edge in combination with bricks broken edge.
700 m² light Oppdal tiles antique brushed surface, 30 cm x rl.
500 m² light Oppdal and Otta tiles in natural, brushed and honed surface in a variety of formats for SPA and bathrooms.
